Bitdefender has announced the launch of Ultimate Small Business Security, an all-in-one security suite designed specifically for small businesses and entrepreneurs managing up to 25 employees without dedicated IT staff. The comprehensive suite encompasses advanced device protection, webmail security for platforms such as Outlook and Gmail, digital identity protection, a password manager, unlimited VPN access, and continuous monitoring of business assets.

The introduction of this suite addresses the increasing need for efficient and straightforward security solutions, particularly amid the growing work-from-home trend as companies seek to reduce overhead costs. With cyber threats such as phishing emails and malicious websites posing significant risks, the suite aims to provide an easy-to-use solution that allows business owners to focus on their operations, ensuring that their digital environments are secured.

According to a recent survey involving 7,000 global consumers, nearly a quarter experienced a security incident within the past year. The survey also revealed that over three-quarters of respondents conduct business and sensitive transactions on their devices, with nearly half lacking mobile security solutions. Bitdefender’s latest offering aims to fill this critical gap, particularly as cybercriminals increasingly target vulnerable user accounts and exploit poor cybersecurity practices such as weak passwords.

Florin Virlan, Bitdefender’s Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering, highlighted the importance of cybersecurity for small businesses, stating, “Just like accounting software, project management tools and payroll, effective cybersecurity needs to be top of mind for small business owners. It’s now mandatory – without it, the risks are just far too great.” He underscored that small businesses, unlike larger corporations, face the very real threat of irreparable damage from data breaches, making robust cybersecurity essential for their survival.

Small business owner Keith Steva praised the new security suite, emphasising the need for a comprehensive yet easy-to-manage solution. “As a small business, I need a comprehensive and sophisticated security solution that is simple to install, self-manages, and provides core services instantly upon installation without customer involvement. Bitdefender has us covered,” Steva stated.

Bitdefender Ultimate Small Business Security offers four subscription plans based on the number of employees (3, 5, 10, or 25) and supports various platforms, including Windows, Windows Server, Mac, Android, and iOS. The suite’s key features provide extensive threat prevention, digital identity protection, and privacy safeguards.

Among its benefits, the suite ensures powerful threat protection across all employee devices and servers holding customer and sensitive information. It guarantees seamless protection for online activities such as email and social media usage, ensuring comprehensive coverage whether employees are at the office or working remotely.

The suite also includes tools for business reputation monitoring and protection. These features monitor company accounts, digital assets, and social media presence to detect any signs of exposure or breach attempts. Advanced scam and fraud prevention features employ artificial intelligence to identify and block phishing attempts, scams, and other malicious activities aimed at small businesses.

For digital identity protection, the suite proactively scans the internet, including public sites and dark web forums, to detect unauthorised data breaches that threaten user accounts and identity. The integrated password manager enables secure management of all passwords using a single master password. Additionally, an unlimited VPN service allows employees to work remotely with confidence, safeguarding privacy and data security even in unsecured locations.

The suite offers a simplified, centralised management system through an intuitive dashboard. It facilitates effortless security management across the entire workforce without requiring specialised cybersecurity skills. Users can easily configure, monitor, and manage security requirements from one place.
