Special weather statement issued for Thunder Bay as rainy weather continues

A special weather statement has been issued for Thunder Bay, Ont., as wet windy weather continues Wednesday  A Colorado low storm system is moving through the region and is expected to bring 20 to 30 millimetres of rain over the next few days. With the ground still not fully thawed out, there is a chance of water pooling in low-lying areas, according to Environment Canada. Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing during the day Wednesday, so the precipitation will likely be rain, but some snow is possible as well. The rain is expected to linger on until Friday.
