(Trevor Brine/CBC)The Winnipeg Police Service has identified Jack Jacques Kabluitok, 46, from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, as a homicide victim.Officers received a report of an injured man on Portage Avenue and Arlington Street at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, police said in a Sunday news release. Police found the man on the ground and gave him emergency medical care by applying a chest seal and administering compressions, police said in a Monday news release. Winnipeg police were called to the scene at about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, a spokesperson said. (Trevor Brine/CBC)The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
